Solid state drives

Samsung SSD replacement and upgrades for all devices including apple laptops and desktops and mac

What is an SSD?

A Solid State Drive or SSD for short is a small drive with a BIG impact on how fast your device is.

An SSD is the single MOST important and effective upgrade you can do to make even an old computer work like brand new!

Why should I get one?

SSDs in pracetice are 5 to 10 times faster than a traditional Hard Disk Drive (HDD). They can also last a lot longer as proven with the 3 year warranty provided on our TeamGroup SSD upgrades.

How much does it cost?

SSDs come in various storge sizes, most commonly we upgrade to 240GB as it is a very good price to performance sweet spot and 240GB of storage is often more than enough for most home users.

Our SSD upgrades cost as little as £119 including VAT. Our most common 240GB we provide for only £149 (fitted and labour for transferring your data included). An SSD is a lifelong upgrade, and can easily be transferred to your next device, should you choose to buy a new one later down the line.

How do I get mine?

Drop your machine into the shop and we will book it in to check out the best option for you and your data! Alternatively if you know how much storage you use and the model of the device you own, you can call up on our phone on 01384 392571 or message on our Facebook Page.

The results

SSDs have been tried and tested many times and in many different ways but its hard to argue with the numbers. The graph above shows the seconds taken to open a program using a laptop from a couple years ago, and the very exact same laptop after having an SSD upgrade.

Once you have an SSD in your machine, it will be hard to go back to standard HDD in the future.
